1 1/2 cups corn meal
1 egg
1/3 cup water
3/4 cup flour
1/3 cup oil
1 cup buttermilk
Cook in iron skillet by first placing it on top of the stove with a little oil and sprinkle corn meal in the bottom of the skillet before adding batter. Then put skillet in a cold oven on bottom rack and cut oven on to 450 degrees. As your oven heats up your batter will evenly cook all over.

Homemade Rolls
1 pkg. yeast
1/2 cup sugar
1 stick of butter
1/2 cup boiling water
1 beaten egg
1/4 cup warm water
1 teaspoon salt
4 cups plain flour
1/2 cup ice water
Melt butter in sauce pan. Add sugar and salt. Add boiling water, stir well, then add ice water. Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add to mixture. Add egg and flour. Dough will be soft. Refrigerate several hours or overnight. Spoon rolls out and put in a well greased pan. Let rise until double in size. Bake at 425 degrees until brown.

4 Tablespoons flour
3 cups milk or water (add more milk for thicker gravy)
1/2 stick butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
Pour sugar, cocoa, and flour in skillet. Turn on heat, then add milk or water gradually. Cook until thick, Add butter and vanilla while its cooling. Serve with biscuits.

100 Cookies

1 cup brown sugar
1 cup margarine (softened)
1 cup oil
1 egg
1 cup rice krispies
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup flaked coconut
1 cup quick oats
3/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
3 1/2 cups plain flour
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 cup pecan's chopped fine
In large mixing bowl, mix white sugar, brown sugar, oil, margarine, beaten eggs, vanilla, cereal, coconut, oats. Sift together salt, flour, soda and cream of tartar; add to other mixture and mix well. Drop by teaspoon onto greased sheet, bake 10 to 12 minutes at 350 degrees.

Cheese Logs
8 oz. cream cheese
1 lb. Velveeta cheese
1 tsp. garlic powder
2 cups chopped walnuts
20 oz. sharp cheddar cheese
Grate Cheddar cheese, cut up Velveeta and Cream Cheese. Let the cheeses come to room temperature. Use wooden spoon or work by hand until well mixed with walnuts and garlic. Form into balls or logs and chill until firm. roll in a mixture of 1 tablespoon chili powder and 2 tablespoons paprika. Keep refrigerated.
